Jersey Night 2009: Meet the 2009 Footy Team
Well, here we are at another kickoff to the Footy season! And that means we are about to unveil the 2009 version of the Nashville Kangaroos at our annual Coach's Night Jersey Presentation. The event will be held at Sportsman's Grille, the same place we have had it every year since the team was founded.
The formal part of the evening will be at 8 PM when head coach Marty Thompson will be introducing his coaching staff for 2009 as well as each and every player. We all know Marty's background is in the entertainment business (and some of us have had the pleasure of seeing him in action at the karaoke bars on our road trips, and a few have been on stage with him!) So if you think there won't be any entertainment in Nashville on a random Wednesday night in March, you are sorely mistaken!
So come on out and meet the 2009 team. I am sure that you will have plenty of chances to meet the players and be entertained as each one is introduced.
Then come out to Elmington Park on Saturday for the 2009 kick off match with the Baton Rouge Tigers. The game will start at 2 PM and should conclude at approximately 4 pm, at which time you will hopefully be listening to the boys singing the team Fight Song to celebrate their victory!
What: Coach's Night Jersey Presentation
Where: Sportsman's Grille Hillsboro Village
When: Wednesday March 25, 2009 at 8:00 PM
Directions: Off I-440, take Hillsboro Exit, go East and just past
Blakemore, you will see it on the left across from Pizza Perfect (same
place you would turn to go to Vandy Children's Hospital). Go to the
upstairs bar area.
What: Game vs. Baton Rouge Tigers
Where: Elmington Park
When: Saturday March 28, 2009 at 2:00 PM
Directions: Off I-440 West End exit, go West (towards St. Thomas
Hospital) about 100 yards. It is on the left in front of West End Middle
School.
