WIth July 4th, 2010 officially in the books, where can you go to see some great fireworks? How about the upcoming Nashville Kangaroos events! While there won't be any gun powder to create a fire hazard, Roo events are always fun and a great way to meet the teams and other Roo followers. Here is what is on tap for the second half of 2010.

Footy Post Game Events
Each time the Roos play at home this year, there will be the traditional Post Game Celebration with the visiting team. This year, we are pleased to have The Frayed Knot hosting us for these events. There are five remaining footy events each of which will have its own Post Game Celebration:

September 24, 2010 - Grand Final Party
The Kangaroos have been celebrating the AFL Grand Final since before the club was officially formed (no kidding!) and this year we continue that great tradition by watching on the giant screen at the The Frayed Knot. Given the time difference between Nashville and Melbourne, the game will start sometime close to midnight on Friday, so that means the Kangaroos will gather at about 11:00 pm. The true die hards will make it to the final siren at about 3:00 am.

October 23, 2010 - Annual General Meeting
This is the meeting at which the Kangaroos Membership gathers to hear the annual reports on the state of the club and elect the coming year Board of Directors. It is tentatively scheduled for 2:00 pm at the The Frayed Knot.

October 23, 2010 - Football Awards Banquet
What a great way to wrap up the footy season, with the fun awards, the serious awards, and of course the Best and Fairest count. In recent past, we had combined this event with the AGM and Silent Auction, but as we have grown substantially, all three are now separate events. This year we plan to return to Blackstone Brewery.

October/November 2010 - Silent Auction
Our extremely popular and highly successful Silent Auction will be its own event this year. Molly Nemeth and Meredith Quigley return for their fifth year as Event Directors, and they are working diligently to confirm both the date and location for this year's iteration. We will post that information as soon as it becomes available.

December 10, 2010 - Holiday Party
Join the Kangaroos for a relaxed evening and reminisce about all the great things that happened in 2010. Then compare those stories to how they are told in 2011 - when 25-yard snap shots become 65-yards bombs under the hammer, and the routine mark becomes the speckie of the year! This event is tentative set for the The Frayed Knot.
