Welcome to the 2024 season of the Nashville Kangaroos. It may be ridiculously cold outside, schools cancelling, businesses providing extra days off for their employees, and generally reminding everyone that winter is still a thing, even in the south, but fear not your 2024 Board of Directors has been working non-stop to prepare you for a terrific year with Nashville Kangaroos activities.
The Board
First, here is how the board of directors, which you elected at the November 2023 Annual General Meeting, has appointed its Executive Committee:

Join the Roos for 2024
The dues structure for 2024 has been set for players and non-players alike. For the football team, the dues are the same as last year. This year we are adding the Metro category, Netball membership, and updating the general membership categories. Full benefits descriptions will be included when this goes up on the website later this month. Look to be able to officially register starting in February.
General Membership
$50 – Adult (self and spouse included)
$20 – Alumnus/Alumna (footy or netball)
$20 – Full-Time Student
$10 – Kangakids (under 18)
Football Membership
$250 – Men and Women
$100 – First-Year players (Regionals and Nationals not included)
$ 75 – Metro League
Netball Membership
$150 – Adult (men and women)
$75 – Student (under 18)
Metro is Back!
Yes, we are bringing back the Nashville Metro League, with Wallabies and Redbacks teams, and new jumpers! Luke Chadwick has been appointed Metro Commissioner. The team captains have been appointed: USA Revolution players Andrew O’Dwyer and Thomas Procter, and they will be doing a draft of all available players prior to Jersey Presentation Night, when the teams will be announced. If you want to play, be sure to let us know so you can be drafted to a team! There will be five (5) games played on Friday nights at Morgan Park, ending with the Metro Grand Final the evening of the AFL Grand Final! Everyone is welcome and we created the Metro dues category specifically for those who want to get a kick and cannot commit to traveling with the team. Alumni are encouraged to join up!
Netball returns to Nashville
Yes, we are bringing back the Nashville Kangaroos Netball team, with Moreen Beierlein leading the way. This team has two national championships to its credit at the Netball America US Open event and is looking to get restarted. The team will be having exhibitions at each of the Kangaroos home games at Elmington Park this year, and will be looking for other matches and tournaments to compete in as well.

The Board has been busy scheduling activities for the entire year. Nearly all of these details have been confirmed, and we are working feverishly to get the information posted to the various outlets. Start blocking your calendars now!
